1. State governments generally reduce their support for public higher education. Discuss the economic, political and moral reasons behind a state government decision to do this.

2. Do you think the US government system of checks/ balances is a detriment to policy making? Why or why not? Due to the current partisan battles suggest that we may need to adjust our policy making system. What might be done?
