Discuss the topic of Discipline in the Fire Department and EMS.  What is Discipline?  What is it’s purpose?  How is it applied?  Is all Discipline negative?  How can a person appeal a Disciplinary decision?  If a potential issue is identified during the disciplinary process, is it appropriate to recommend use of an Employee Assistance Program?  When and how should an officer follow-up on a disciplinary action plan?
