How were works of art utilized in different cultures burial rituals? Why?

For each culture, find a specific example and share some information about how that work of art is part of the culture’s funerary practices.  Maybe it’s a tomb or a mural from a tomb.  Maybe it’s a reliquary to hold the special person’s bones.  Or maybe it’s a precious object buried with the deceased.  Give your artwork some cultural context.  Then compare and contrast them to each other.

This post should be a minimum of three chunky paragraphs, one for each example.  Wrap it all up in a summary paragraph for maximum points!  Make sure to reference your text.
