• Paragraph –1/2 page: A summary of the article that does not include your opinion and includes reference to the author and title in the body of this paragraph. Example: In [title], [name of author] argues (or explains) that . . .
• Paragraph 2–1/2 page: Your response to the article. If the author makes an argument, do you agree with it? Why or why not? And most importantly, what are the strengths and weaknesses of the argument? If the author is not directly making an argument, but instead relating an experience, describe who you think their target audience is, and how that target audience might feel after reading the article. What strategies does the author use to win them over? This is good practice for leading up to .
