Discussion question:

How democratic is the decision-making process in the European Union? 

In answering the question, you may want to consider the three main decision-making institutions of the European Union (the Commission, the Council of the EU, the Parliament), their composition, powers of each institution, the influence of member-states, the influence of people, and similar. 

Each post should have:

1. a clear thesis that summarizes your answer to the question;
2. a detailed explanation of your thesis supported by evidence (such as examples); and
3. proper formatting, including a) correct citations in APA of any sources used, whether from assigned readings or from additional research (please note that all sources must be cited both in text and in a list of references), and b) well-structured sentences and paragraphs—please make sure that long posts are separated into sensible paragraphs (in other words, don’t post a “wall” of text).
