The past few weeks, we have devoted time to preparing for successfully writing a concert report.  We still have several more activities to help guide you through this project, BUT, this week we are setting aside time to watch you concert video.

Assignment Guidelines and Tips

  • From your previous activities like , you should already know that you must watch a classical music concert to write about for your concert report final project.
  • This is the module in which you will view that concert! You can choose a concert from the list provided here OR you can find your own classical concert (but you need to be in contact with Dr. B for approval if you want to choose your own concert).
  • Make sure to invest a little time to choose a concert that seems interesting to you.
  • Students from past semesters recommend that you take notes while you watch to make paper writing easier.
  • Enjoy!

Many prominent orchestra, ballet, and opera companies are providing free access to live streaming events. I have listed a few ideas at the end of this page. But, because I cannot predict how long they will offer free access and their websites might change frequently.  If you find a classical concert that you’d prefer, please e-mail me with a link to it and I will approve it for your concert report, if applicable.

If you find a classical video you enjoy that is under 15 minutes, I will require you to watch at least one more video in order to create a concert experience that is long enough upon which to write a report. Your total online concert experience should be 20 minutes or longer.
