A) The two discussion questions for this forum assignment have multiple parts.   You will be graded on content, grammar, and spelling.  Make sure you address each part of the question for full credit.  

1. Imagine that you are a director planning a production of The Glass Menagerie.  Watch the TED Talk video, Julie Taymor: Life on the Creative Edge (under Module 12).  At the 5:34 minute mark of the video, Taymor begins speaking about the ideograph. 

• In your own words, define your understanding of the term ideograph. 
• Chapter’s 10 and 11 describe this same idea using an alternative term.  What is the term?
• Next, develop an ideograph for your production of The Glass Menagerie. How would you use your ideograph to organize the production? How would your ideograph make itself felt through stage design, costuming, and casting?  Be creative with your answer.
