Paper Guidelines

Theminimum requirements for sources are five monographs and five scholarlyarticles. Please note that the number of monographs cannot substitute that ofarticles and the other way around.

 

Theresearch paper should include the following aspects:

         Whatsources did you use?

         Howare you going to proceed and what aspects are you going to examine?

         Whatis your main thesis or topic question?

         Whatarguments do you advance to prove your thesis or answer the topic question?

         Whatare the main arguments put forth in the works you are consulting? Are theirarguments convincing? Here you are expected to put forward your own thoughtsand analysis and state why you find their arguments sound or not. 


Thewritten works must be analytic and expository. All works must be typed inStandard English, clear and organized, and free of grammatical and spellingerrors. Ideas taken from other peoples works must be so acknowledged in footnotes.

 

The paper mustinclude a title page and a bibliography

Internetsources must be restricted to primary documents and published scholarly journalsonline. Some advice on writing essays will be provided before the due dateof the main research essay. See the Essay-and-Referencing guide on Nexus.
