- For your research project, you will need to choose an issue that is affecting your local community (this could be a political or social issue that is impacting your neighborhood, town, or county). Do not choose an issue that you have a strong bias towards. Instead, choose an issue about which you can present a reasonable and interesting argument and on which you can find at least five sources.
- Below are a few example topics:
- Health Care access in your local town or county
- Should your local community require a Vaccine passport card for you to attend sporting events, concerts and other large public gatherings?
- Issues with poverty, education, crime, etc. in your local town or county
- A resource or service your community needs
- How should K-12 education be reformed in your county
- Election Fraud
- Are voter ID laws necessary
- Police reform (in the local community)
- Should community college be free?
- Should individuals be required to receive the COVID 19 vaccine?
- Another issue or problem your community is facing
