I have attached all the reading articles. This professor is very strict on citations.
This week, you will explain what you learned from the assigned readings by citing at least one specific idea from each of the assigned readings and explaining how these ideas might inform your curriculum planning.
As you reflect on the readings, you might ask yourself the following questions:
- What is the role of the environment in curriculum? What does it mean when folks say that the environment is a teacher?
- In what ways do children interact with the environment? Why does this matter?
- Do you have any new specific ideas about how you and the children can shape the environment of your future classroom?
- How does this weeks content on the classroom environment relate to specific themes and readings from previous weeks? (i.e. inclusion & equity, transitions, I can statements/objectives, educational theories, observation/ seeing the student, introduction to kindergarten, the nature of children)
- Are there classroom environments you have experienced that relate to this weeks readings? Can you describe those environments and how they affected you and/or the children? These may be classrooms you experienced as a student as well as those you have observed or worked in.
