Local communities are different from each other. They may have different needs and resources, people who are leaders in their community and cultures that don’t necessarily align with what’s happening in other places around the country.
-
It’s hard enough to implement change when you’re implementing one-size-fits-all policies or practices; imagine trying to do so while also taking into consideration all those factors listed above!
The FON committee plans to bring together people from across the country to talk about what needs to be done now.
You might be wondering how the FON committee plans to go about its work. The first step will be bringing together people from across the country, who share a common goal: better care for patients. The committee’s goal is to identify best practices across the country and make sure those are implemented in communities where they are most needed.
The FON committee plans on using a number of different methods for getting input from stakeholders, including focus groups and online surveys. They also intend on holding meetings with local organizations so that they can get feedback on their work from those who are directly affected by it—and what kind of support or resources need improving in order for that work to continue being effective in those communities!
Conclusion
The FON committee is a great way to engage people across the country in this important work. I encourage nurses and others interested in bettering our profession to keep an eye on its progress and contribute as we move forward together.
