Disruptive innovation, as stated in Sampere et al. (2016) and Christenson et al. (2015), refers to initially small innovations that later supplant the “existing product or service technology” (as cited in Daft, 2021, p. 372). Recent disruptive technologies include artificial intelligence, streaming video, augmented reality, the Internet of things, blockchain technology, and e-commerce. Conduct some research if you are not familiar with some of these technologies to address the discussion questions.

Does blockchain ensure the privacy or security of data? Why is this important?
Is a contract more valid or not using blockchain?
Conduct research and discuss the benefits or disadvantages of public blockchains.
