Instructions
The presentation should explain the details from your dashboard, Excel, and explanations of the dashboard to the VP of Supply Chain.
Requirements and guidelines:
· The presentation should consist of 8-12 PowerPoint slides in the body, with speaking notes on each slide.
· 150-word minimum added into the “Notes” area of each slide.
· A cover slide and list of references slide are required (not included in the required slide count).
· Slides Design
· What we want to avoid is our slides being too wordy. We want a limit of 3 to 5 bullet points per slide. We want only 3 to 6 words per bullet point. Ultimately, you are the expert in your presentation. We want the audience to pay attention to you — not read your slides.
· Okay, this is a tough one. You’ve got the right information…but ask yourself, “Hey, I’m an audience member, right? Would I dig looking at these financial statements on a slide during a presentation? Would this be too much information for one slide? Perhaps I should demonstrate (what I consider) the most important information from those statements.”
· Legible: use large enough fonts, colors should be high contrast for projectors (light text on dark background or dark text on light background).
· Simple background (other than white or black).
· Effective use of graphics, such as company logos, photos of products, etc.
· Effective use of animation — build slides to keep your audience focused on what you are saying.
