1. You are the analyst and discover that cross contamination has just  occurred. (Cross Contamination between samples – when DNA from one  sample is found on another sample. Occurs when instruments aren’t  cleaned properly, examinations areas aren’t cleaned properly, or on  older instruments because they didn’t self clean properly.) You know you  have to report it.  You also know you can hide the results and no one  will know. You have had some other discipline issues 4 years ago.  Also,  the Lab has been in the local paper for similar problems in the past  year.  This will mean another investigation, possible closure of the  Lab, and maybe losing your job.  The DNA does not match anyone, so the  case will go no where and never be prosecuted.  What’s the harm of  keeping quiet.
2. Discuss the ethics of dealing with a vendor who offers to buy you  lunch.  The Vendor offers to supply food for a training conference.  Is  there a difference?
3. You notice a co-worker is skipping some steps in testing, but writes in their report that they did it.  What should you do?
4. A friend of yours was a crime victim. You receive the evidence to test.  Should you do it?  Why of why not?
