Introduction
·         Introduce the concept of international tourism and Canada as a tourist destination and traveler-generating region.

The Destination that we using is Canada and we using The Mode of Transportation which is Air.


 Discuss transportation as an element of the tourism system
·         An overview of the impact COVID-19 on the tourism industry and more specifically the airline industry

Findings:
·         Canada’s tourism numbers
·         Types of tourism in Canada
·         Canada’s response to the pandemic – Date they shut down, date they reopened, their latest advice on non-essential travel. Was it effective?
·         The effect that the airline industry shutting down and countries closing had on the tourism industry – Hotels, restaurants, bars, gift shops, attractions, intermediaries
·         Maslow’s hierarchy of needs – passengers needed to feel safe before traveling again
·         How did airlines adapt to the need for safety?
·         Positive Impacts of not having airlines in operation eg. more national tourism, talk about the impact of flying on the environment.
·         Canada recovery strategies
