Marketing departments are under increasing pressure to perform, especially with new marketing behaviors, opportunities, and challenges emerging. According to Whitler and Morgan (2017), 80% of Chief Executive Officers do not do not trust or are unimpressed with their Chief Marketing Officers.
Step 1:
Please review the the new marketing realities and the four major marketing forces (technology, globalization, physical environment, and social responsibility) in chapter.
Step 2:
Schedule a an interview with a marketing professional at your organization of employment or an organization where you know the marketing profession. Your interview for this assignment can be in the form of a personal meeting, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or phone conversation.
You will research the four major marketing forces, complete your interview, and write a 3-4 page paper outlining how your selected organization is or has:
- Handling or preparing for future implications regarding the technical interconnectivity, information collection, and forecasting using machine learning with predictive analytics,
- Been dealing with globalization from multi-cultural, innovation, and/or product development,
- Implemented or plans to implement tools to tackle their changing business needs while addressing environmental concerns,
- Concentrating on the needs, wants and interests of target markets to satisfy their organization more effectively and efficiently than its competitors.
Please use research to help support why the four major market forces are important to an organization maintaining or gaining a competitive advantage.
