- Set camera to manual mode or aperture priority mode
- Set Camera ISO to 100 or 200
- Find a subject that intrigues you
- Think about the ways you could approach the subject visually with either shallow depth of field or infinite depth of field as you will be using both in this assignment.
- Photograph the subject (with your DSLR or compatible camera) using shallow depth of field (subject in focus, with either foreground or background falling out of focus)
- Use a compositional tool like the rule of thirds or golden ratio
- Note aperture used and shutter speed
- Photograph the subject (with your DSLR or compatible camera) using infinite depth of field (subject, foreground and background are all in focus)

- Process each image with Photoshop

- Embed (do not attach) both images
- label them Infinite DOF and Shallow DOF
- Write a summary (about 150-150 words) detailing your usage of depth of field in each image and how you used compositional tools (cite specific elements and principles of design or visual tactics)
