A1.  Describe three leadership practices of the current leader, other than yourself, in the existing organization.

·        Put this section all in your own words with no citing of organization websites

·       Make sure to discuss all 6 areas: history, background, vision, mission, purpose, and objectives

·       Identify 3 leadership practices of the leader you are writing about

·       A leadership practice is anything a leader does within the scope of the position on a ‘routine basis’ (ex. Every Tuesday is senior leadership meeting)

·        You need to describe 3 leadership practices. Make sure each has a routine (i.e. every Monday like in the example), a specific example, and a discussion of ‘why’ it is a leadership example. Like in the example provided above.

 

Note: Leadership practices are routine actions, behaviors, functions, and responsibilities that the current leader performs.

 

A2.  Discuss how the current LEADER IMPACT on ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE. Section A2. Leader Impact Culture

·        In this section, you will describe the impact your chosen leader has on the environment of the organization.

·       Provide 2 specific examples of the leader’s impact and explain the positive or negative impact from each example.

·       You can provide positive or negative examples, but make a point of writing 2 specific examples

 

B.  SWOT analysis evaluating the chosen organization by doing the following:

       Strength, weakness, opportunities, threats

1.       Evaluate two of the organization’s current strengths.

a.       These originate internally (inside the organization), currently happening and everyone knows about them. Discuss 2 Current Strengths with specific examples AND a discussion of the positive benefit.

2.       Evaluate two of the organization’s current weaknesses.

a.      These originate internally (inside the organization), currently happening and everyone knows about them. Discuss 2 Current Weaknesses with specific examples AND a discussion of the negative impact

3.     Evaluate two of the organization’s current unmet opportunities.

a.      These originate outside/external (outside the organization), futuristic, unmet – meaning no one from the organization has thought of these yet and/or planned for these. Discuss 2 Current Opportunities with specific examples AND an explanation of the possible benefit. Future tense writing

4.       Evaluate two of the organization’s current unresolved threats.

a.       These originate outside/external (outside the organization), futuristic, unmet – meaning no one from the organization has thought of these yet and/or planned for these. C.  Leader analysis of the current leader discussed in part A1, using one of the scholarly leadership theories below that is different from task 1, by doing the following:

•   transformational leadership

•   transactional leadership

•   situational leadership

•   participative leadership

•   servant leadership

•   behavioral leadership

•   trait theory of leadership

 

1.       Evaluate three strengths of the current leader, using the chosen scholarly leadership theory, including how each strength relates to the theory. Support the evaluation of the leader’s strengths with at least one scholarly source. Write a separate paragraph for each of the three strengths.

2.       Section C1:

a.      State what each of the leader’s strengths are

b.     Provide a specific example of the LEADER with each strength

c.      Provide a discussion of ‘why’ each is a strength (think about impact, value of each strength)

d.     Provide a discussion of how each strength aligns as a strength of the chosen theory (i.e. this strength aligns with XXXX leadership theory because….)

e.     Use the first scholarly article in this section for the required one in-text citation pointing to the leadership theory as it pertains to that section

 

3.       Evaluate three weaknesses of the current leader, using the chosen scholarly leadership theory, including how each weakness relates to the theory. Support the evaluation of the leader’s weaknesses with at least one scholarly source. The recommendations need to address the current leaders identified leadership weakness.

a.      State what each of the leader’s weaknesses are,

b.     Provide a specific example of the LEADER with each weakness,

c.      Provide a discussion of ‘why’ each is a weakness (think about the consequence of the weakness),

d.     Provide a discussion of how each weakness aligns as a weakness of the chosen theory (i.e. this weakness aligns with XXXX leadership theory because….)

 

4.       Use the second scholarly article in this section for the required one in-text citation pointing to the leadership theory as it pertains to that section

a.      State what each of the leader’s recommendations are

b.     Provide a specific example of the LEADER following through with the recommendation,

c.      Provide a discussion of ‘why’ each is a good recommendation (think about impact, improvement),

d.     Provide a discussion of how each recommendation aligns with the chosen theory (i.e. this recommendation aligns with XXXX leadership theory because….)

e.       Use the third scholarly article in this section for the required one in-text citation pointing to the leadership theory as it pertains to that section

 

3.  Recommend three actionable items to improve the effectiveness of the current leader, including how each actionable item relates to the chosen scholarly leadership theory. Support the recommendations of actionable items with at least one scholarly source.
