1. How do you design and implement face-face interactions such as conferences to get to caregivers as people? For both teachers and families to be less stressed in these conferences?

a. What goals do you have?

b. How can you design these interactions better to meet humanizing goals?

2. Think about a students family member whom you view as being involved in schooling. Now think of one whom you view as not being involved.                                                                                                                                                                                   a.Discuss what has led you to these views, and on what approaches to parent involvement they may be based.                              b.Is there anything you wish you could know more about a student and their family in order to approach your collaboration with them differently

3. What do you assume are important home-based engagement practices in Abis family.

a.Why do you believe they are important?

b. What are ways that you have learned from your students families to enhance the students school-based learning? If you are having a difficult time thinking of examples, what are ways that you could create opportunities to listen and learn from them and incorporate this into your pedagogy.
