    One of the most controversial court cases in American History was the Scopes Monkey Trial which focused on whether evolution or creation should be taught in school. This is still a volatile and active issue in some states today. The first document is the textbook used by John Scopes to teach evolution and the second document is portion of the trial transcripts.
