Each student is required to pick a topic from the textbook on Child Development and write a research paper. The final paper and the class presentation PowerPoint may be on the same topic. You will have the ability to rewrite this assignment if you are unhappy with your grade, so relax a bit.  Pick a topic in child development that you find interesting. Then research your topic and develop a research paper on this child development topic. All students must type their own individual papers. 

Please look at the APA style guide and rubric carefully and HAVE SOMEONE PROOFREAD your work please. I am including a sample paper on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Also, it is free to have the Student Success Center proofread your papers. Hint hint!

The paper should be well thought out and organized and should be five (5) pages long and include at least FIVE (5) DIFFERENT CITATION SOURCES in addition to the textbook and a reference list. Be sure to use the standard paper layout of introduction, body, conclusion, & references and use American Psychological Association (APA) style reference format. A rubric is attached (See below). This paper must be typed and APA formatted.
