Students will complete an essay evaluating an article of psychological relevance found in a newspaper or magazine (see acceptable news sources below), and then 2 American Psychological Association Research Journal Articles. Describe how the research was done or not done in the original news article usually not shown so compare it to the research in the APA articles you add to your research paper, write how research is presented or not presented as valid research based on our texts description of valid research and using critical thinking skills discuss advantages and disadvantages of the research, what it is able to predict or not predict and if it shows cause and effect or correlation. Find the 2 APA journal articles from the Wake Tech virtual library to compare with the psychology in the news: 1 APA journal article supporting the news article and 1 APA journal article disagreeing with it is best. Most likely you will be able to discuss research from the APA articles and not the newspaper/magazine news that you originally found.

Your paper is to be done in APA style as described in the “Course Resources” assignment descriptions.
