This assignment is to address what role a patient navigator plays in the care of a patient. Please submit a four paragraph paper to Canvas after researching the role(s) on the internet and viewing the PowerPoint presentation in Canvas. This assignment is worth twenty points as described in the rubric below.

Introduce your topic in the first paragraph and define who or what a patient navigator is. 

Use the second paragraph to discuss the advantages of a medical assistant filling this role. Please include one your resources from the Community Resources Assignment and tell me how you would assist a patient with this information.

The third paragraph should list any limitations or disadvantages of a medical assistant in this role.  

The fourth paragraph should give your own personal thoughts on the role.

• Each paragraph is worth 4 points for each of the bolded items
• Should be no longer than one page in length with a minimum of at least 250 words, worth 4 points
• Each punctuation error, spelling error, error in grammar or sentence structure will result in a loss of 2 points.  Use spell check before you submit your assignment.
