The topic my group and I chose for our in-service is the increased risk of falls. This is cause for concern for many older adults. Serious injuries can result in ederly since they tend to be weaker with more fragile bones. Head trauma can lead to confusion, concussion, or even a brain bleed which can be fatal. It is important that we educate older adults and potentially stop the falls before they happen. Physical therapy can also play a huge role in preventing falls and encouraging mobility.
