Please return me 3 slides and a 600-word speech. This course is talking about Ethical Decision Making in Business.
This should be a short presentation plus three discussion questions to facilitate a class discussion about a
relevant management or organizational ethics issue that is currently/was recently in the news. I would
like for you to be motivated to regularly attend to the news (from legitimate sources such as the NY Times,
Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Bloomberg Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, National Public Radio)
and to notice how much ethical issues are regularly in the news. So you get to choose the issue that you
and your team will present on but it should be related to management or organizational ethics and course

content. You will prepare a few power point slides (preferably just three or four), outlining (a) the ethical
issue and dilemma, and (b) how it is related to course content.
Your deliverables will be a presentation in class, and the power point which youll submit to Canvas in the
10–minute Ethical Challenge folder. Include in this power point the list of sources you used in preparation
for this assignment and a list of discussion questions for the class to discuss.
My evaluation will be based upon your choice of an appropriate issue (dont just choose the first thing that
pops up on Google), your ability to show that you have researched the issue beyond a single article, your
appreciation of the legitimacy of your sources, your ability to show how the issue is related explicitly to
course content, to make clear why it is relevant for us (Its related to business or organizational ethics, etc.),
to engage your classmates and to get us all to think about a hot and interesting topic. Choosing an extra
creative topic that (almost) no one ever presented on is considered a bonus. Try to avoid choosing a topic
that is very similar to previously presented ethical challenge topics. Feel free to check in with me about
possible topics any time you like.
An example presentation is uploaded on Canvas. In addition to the particular presentation
approach/design chosen in that presentation, you could also present two different sides to the issue,
arguing with each other about the right approach to the dilemma. Whatever approach you use, engage and
interest us! Thats the goal. As the semester continues, obviously there is more content to build upon so
expectations will increase as we go along and I will start expecting you do not simply draw in the same
class concepts that the previous presentations did. It would be especially impressive if youd use class
concepts that we have not yet covered in class, but that is not a requirement.
If you find that there are some problems within your team as to everyones participation in the preparation
of this presentations, please notify me immediately. Do not wait to contact me until shortly before or
after the presentation, as there is little I can do to steer the team in the right direction by then.
